An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced sales leader to join their Australian Operations as the National Sales Manager. Reporting to the Country Manager the National Sales Manager will be responsible for providing sales leadership and management to a team of 9 Hospital Sales Representatives across Australia.

Given the high impact of this role, you must also demonstrate the ability to liaise effectively and a build strong team approach with your sales management peers, the marketing team and senior management team colleagues.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and directing activities of the sales force to obtain maximum sales volume and potential sales;
  • Determining key strategic areas for the business and establish long/short term targets;
  • Achieving the overall national/state sales budgets;
  • Implementing and analyzing the sales strategy to ensure national and state business plans are achieved;
  • Working closely with key stakeholders and ensure strong client relationships are maintained;
  • Motivating and developing a team of professional sales staff.

You will thrive in a coaching and mentoring capacity and be able to demonstrate your business acumen, technical knowledge and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership qualities with a proven track record of success in sales achievement and sales management. Experience in marketing and pain management is highly desirable.

To be considered for this outstanding opportunity, you should possess:

  • Minimum of five years management experience in a sales and commercial role coupled with hospital experience in the Pharmaceutical field is highly advantageous;
  • Tertiary qualifications in a Science related discipline or Business coupled with Sales and territory management experience in Pharmaceuticals would be highly desirable;
  • Commercial aptitude with thorough industry knowledge and experience;
  • A strong communicator with a good understanding of market dynamics ;
  • Independent, resourceful with strong business & financial acumen, good planning and organization ability;
  • A dynamic, positive leader and team player with proven track record in the over-achievement of set objectives ;
  • Passion for developing, coaching and leading others.
